Exploit know-how or a patent from INRA

INRA grants licences for the use of its patents and secret technical know-how.

INRA research often generates results which can be exploited commercially.  These inventions, patented or not, could offer your company novel processes or products which will create new sources of opportunity.

INRA's development policy targets the active protection of its results (patents, brands, software, new plant certificates), after which companies are granted licences to exploit these inventions.

If further development is required, the researcher may either apply for preliminary development funds if the patent has not yet been licensed or, if the licensee is already known, conclude a research and development collaborative agreement with it.

Agri Obtentions (plant varieties) and INRA-Transfert (patents and know-how) are wholly-owned INRA subsidiaries which ensure the economic exploitation and transfer of innovative technologies developed by the Institute.  These companies will negotiate the conditions of transfer with you: scope of the rights granted, financial conditions and technical support.

For more information:

Contact Agri Obtentions or INRA-Transfert, or the partnership managers in research divisions.
