Contracts and Intellectual Property Unit (UCPI)

The UCPI provides legal advice to INRA research divisions and commercial exploitation subsidiaries. It acts as an interface with the legal departments of partner organisations.

Research divisions always refer to this unit for legal advice concerning all types of contracts with private-sector partners, and particularly regarding the compilation of collaborative research contracts or licenses for technology transfer. The UCPI also provides expertise on legal questions relative to the protection of research results.

It is the UCPI which manages the portfolio of French and international INRA patents, as well as all brands and the protection of software and databases.
