The main objective of the Nutrition, Chemical Food Safety and Consumer Behaviour Division of INRA is to provide scientific bases for improving health and well-being by encouraging the development of food and diets well-adapted to diverse categories of consumers. Its research aims at explaining consumer behaviour and its consequences on pleasure and health, studying the digestive function, shedding light on the effect of food and nutrition on health, understanding and reducing chemical risks in the food industry. The results are used as a basis for nutritional and dietary recommendations. The internet site of the Nutrition, Chemical Food Safety and Consumer Behaviour Division sets out to encourage new partnerships. Potential partners are given an overview of its objectives, topics and research units, research results, collaborations, tools and platforms.
