Joint Research Unit for Biochemistry and Plant Molecular Physiology

The Joint Research Unit for Biochemistry and Plant Molecular Physiology (B&PMP) focuses its research on the mechanisms of plant responses and adaptation to variable abiotic environmental conditions. B&PMP is one of the 3 research units which make up the "Integrative Biology Institute for Plants" (IBIP). Over the last fifteen years, B&PMP has gained a strong scientific identity by unraveling the molecular mechanisms which contribute to determine the hydro-mineral balance of plants, subjected to various abiotic stresses. This has been made possible by integrating cellular, molecular, genetic, biochemical, biophysical and physiological approaches, and by using the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
