GENEDEC 2004-2007 STREP under FP6: decoupling of direct payments in agriculture

A quantitative and qualitative assessment of the socio-economic and environmental impacts of decoupling of direct payments on agricultural production, markets and land use in the EU. This European project of the 6th Framework Programme (2004-2007) is coordinated by the Joint Research Unit for Public Economics (INRA INA-PG, Grignon). It is aimed at providing insight into the workability, efficiency and impacts of various decoupling scenarios, so as to provide the European Commission with recommendations and alternative options for further improvement of the CAP.
