© Inra
In November 2010, ENDURE hosted its second major international conference, ‘Integrated Pest Management in Europe - The ENDURE Network of Excellence shares the fruits of four years’ research with the crop protection community in Paris, France. The event attracted more than 350 visitors from nearly 50 different countries, and over two days visitors enjoyed a series of plenary sessions, debates, workshops and exhibitions of the tools that ENDURE has created. Below you can find all the presentations and other material produced for this event.

The conference focused on the new knowledge, new strategies and new tools generated by ENDURE researchers since the launch of the Network of Excellence in 2007. It included:

  • The individual components of IPM
  • Holistic approaches encompassing multiple pests and larger time and space scales
  • Innovative strategies designed and assessed according to the multiple criteria of sustainable development
  • Information tailored to the needs of farmers and advisers
  • Learning resources for training and education in IPM
  • The current state of IPM in major crops
  • Socio-technical levers of IPM implementation
  • National experiences on pesticide use or risk reduction and IPM implementation
  • Stakeholder points of view on the future of crop protection
