This film presents the research conducted in Sophia-Antipolis, INRA’s research centre in the Provence-Côte d’Azur region. This site brings together INRA, CNRS and the University of Sophia-Antipolis around a joint project: the setting up of an exemplary research pole devoted to plant health.

These researchers study insects, nematodes, oomycetes and other bacteria and viruses that are harmful to crops. By better understanding their evolution, behaviour, interaction and plant defences, crops can be protected with methods other than pesticides. This centre features 9000m² of research buildings, with a staff of 250, including 100 researchers. The site also boasts 25,000m² of experimental greenhouses.
